May Day

Today is May Day....
I have always associated Lilacs with May Day.
When I was growing up we used to make May Day baskets &
clip lilacs from my moms lilac bush to put in them.
Then we would go to our neighbors ring the doorbell, leave a
May Day basket of flowers on their steps and run away.
What a great memory........

The Lilacs are just beautiful. I can smell them through the computer screen.
We used to do May baskets too and my kids did also. They would hop on their ponies and off they would go flowers trailing behind them. We had so much fun. MB

I love lilacs as well. Here in New England they don't bloom till much later in May.
